Prior to his directorship at Santander Bank - Lisbon, until 1998, in charge of "Project & Forfaiting Global Operations", John Fonseca-Robbins has served uninterruptedly from '65 to '96 as bank official for several banks in the City of London, namely: Anglo-Portuguese Bank, now Riggs Bank Europe Ltd; Standard Bank; Moscow Narodny Bank; Bank Leumi le-Israel; BPA, now Bank-MillenniumBCP; and, Banco Nacional Ultramarino, now Caixa Geral de Depositos, Lisbon.

A British Citizen, he was born in Belmonte - Portugal.

He has participated and taken active intervention at "Fraud and Money Laundering Workshops";"The Economist", and "International Forfaiting Conferences". He is a former member of both "The Academy of Political Science of New York" and of  "Council Member of the Gerson Lehrman Group Financial Services Council"- New York,, a member of the "Academic Network South East Europe", Hamburg:, and was awarded a Ph.D en Gestion (Business Administration) by the Ecole Superieure Robert De Sorbon - France.

Author and Columnist on varied subjects such as International Foreign Policy Issues, Strategy; International Environmental Innovations; and, Managerial Decision Making.
